OUT NOW - FIRST SPANISH ROCK OPERA "LEGADO DE UNA TRAGEDIA"
Featuring the who is who of the Hispanic Rock Scene.
Spanish Rock Opera LEGADO DE UNA TRAGEDIA (Pies Music, Madrid) featuring Fernando Garcia (GODIVA/ex-Victory), first time ever Fernando Garcia sings in Spanish in his career (El Cuervo).
"Legado de una tragedia" is a rock opera divided into two acts, Twilight and Sunset, based on the life and work of American writer Edgar Allan Poe reviewing the fable tormented life of a genius. One Opera, 17 songs, 50 musicians from bands such as STRAVAGANZZA, MAGO DE OZ, SARATOGA, WARCRY, BARON ROJO, OBUS, ŅU, RATA BLANCA, DARKMOOR, IGUANA TANGO. .
The idea developed at the end of 2004 in the wake of several rock operas produced in that era where the philosophy was based on a true gathering of all star musicians in the rock scene around a conceptual history. After enjoying works such as Avantasia, Nostradamus or Da Vinci. Joaquin Padilla and Jacobo Garcia began to sketch the idea of conducting a similar project, a conceptual piece that gathers for the first time the largest possible number of national and international Hispanic speaking musicians in a pioneering project.
"Legado de una tragedia" was conceived, composed, arranged, produced and recorded by Jacobo Garcia and Joaquin Padilla. Recorded between January 2006 and February 2007 at "El Cielo de Madrid", "Studios Espartanos" and "The Marabunta Studios." Mixed by Alberto Sanchez in July and August 2007 at Hispamusic Studios. Mastered in October 2007 by Alberto Sanchez and Luis Rodrigo.
